You can choose from the following types of tickets:
The General Access Pass gives you access to the full event from Thursday, starting from 14:00 PM, until the end of the festival (Monday, at 08:00 AM). You can also choose the General Access Pass with Eurolife Insurance.
The Youth Pass U25 gives you access to the full event from Thursday starting from 14:00 PM, until the end of the festival, on Monday, at 08:00 AM, if you are 25 years old or under.
The Premium Pass, also gives you full access to the entire festival Thursday, at 14:00 PM, until Monday, at 08:00 AM, but you will have a premium experience with some extra features such as: elevated area near the Main Stage, private bars, fine dining, plus many more. You can also choose the General Access Pass with Eurolife Insurance.
The Any Day Premium Ticket is for those who want to enjoy a premium experience, but can’t make it to the whole festival. With this type of ticket you will have access to the festival only during the day you have purchased it for, starting from 9:00 AM, and until 08:00 AM the next day, after that, you will have to leave the festival area, as the ticket won’t be available anymore. The Any Day Premium tickets don’t have camping access available.
If you want to sleep on the festival grounds, you need to purchase a Camping Pass. This type of ticket give you access in our camping area, the possibility to come with your own tent and to have access to the camping facilities.
The Day Ticket, is designed for those who can’t make it to the whole festival, or they just want to come for a day or two. With this type of ticket you will have access to the festival only during the day you have purchased it for, starting from 9:00 A.M, and until 08:00 A.M the next day, after that, you will have to leave the festival area, as the ticket won’t be available anymore. The Day tickets don’t have camping access available.
The Black Ticket offers you a full festival experience, with this ticket you will have access in the Premium areas, in the camping and also Backstage. The ticket gives you access for the entire festival, from Thursday, 14:00 PM, until Monday, at 08:00 AM.
If you encounter any error when trying to purchase a ticket and the status of your order shows “pending”, the order will erase itself in short time, without any money withdrawal from your bank account. If you still want to buy those tickets you will have to resume the process from the start.
Once you have purchased a ticket, you will find it in your online account, in the MY ORDERS section. From there you will be able to download it in PDF format. Then, you can print it and bring it to the festival, or you can show us directly the PDF file on your smartphone.
Children up to 7 years old (inclusive) qualify for free entrance, provided that an adult accompanies them. All children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Access of minors between the age of 16 and 18 years old, will be granted, if they can present a statement from their parents or legal representatives allowing participation. Get the statement here.
We strongly advise that children under 4 years old wear noise cancellation headphones.
Every Electric Castle ticket is strictly linked to one person and therefore has a name and address printed on it, hence you cannot just give or simply sell your ticket to someone else. Only the person whose name is printed on the ticket gets access to the festival.
Of course we understand it’s not easy to make long-term plans and unforeseen circumstances can never be ruled out. Therefore you have the possibility to update the name on the ticket after the initial purchase in your orders section for a fee.
Your EC ticket must have your correct name, address (same as on your ID) and photo. You can fill in the details for free only once during the first 7 days after purchase. For this, go to My Account -> My Orders -> click on Edit name and address. After these 7 days, the changes can be made by paying an additional fee. For small typos or address changes, write us an email at contact@electriccastle.ro.
The Youth Pass 21 cannot be sold or given to other people. The name and address of it cannot be changed.
Yes, you can. If you bought your ticket from electriccastle.ro, the ticket can be upgraded from the MY ORDERS section, in your account. You can upgrade your ticket from General Access Pass to Premium Pass. If you want to sleep in the Camping Area you need to buy a Camping Pass.
Tickets cannot be downgraded.
Because the tickets are nominal, you should introduce the name and address of the person who is going to use the ticket at the festival (as they appear written in their ID card). You can fill in the details for free only once during the first 7 days after purchase. After this, any changes you would like to do regarding these ticket details will be possible by Personalizaing your ticket or through the Exchange platform, for a minimal fee.
According to the Romanian Law, everybody is required to have an ID card, so it is necessary to take it with you to the festival. As the tickets are nominal, you will be asked to also show your ID card together with your ticket, at the check-in point, before entering the festival area, in order to verify that the ticket is really yours.
Cancelling a purchased ticket and money refund is not possible.
Tickets that have been purchased and picked up at the authorized points of sale (electriccastle.ro, mobile app) and distribution are the only ones valid. We can't vouch for the validity of tickets unless they were bought at the mentioned points of sale.
If you lose your ticket, we will not be in the position to help you and issue you another one without proper proof of receipt and purchase, which is why we want you to take good care of your ticket.
If you forget your ticket you will not be able to enter the festival, so we advise you to be careful and not forget it.
Yes. If you want to send a ticket as a gift you can do that right after buying the ticket. Just click on the Personalize button and check the "This is a gift" checkbox in My Orders section, then you have to fill the receiver's full name and email. After this, the receiver will get an email with instructions on how to get the ticket. Full ticket details for the gift ticket can be added in 7 days after the initial purchase.
Sure! We provided an Exchange platform through which you will be able to find possible buyers for your ticket, or just change the name/address from it, in order to give it to someone else. The platform can pe accessed from your online account, at the Ticket Exchange section. Only tickets bought from the official EC website/Electric Castle mobile app can be listed on the Exchange Platform.
This will be the only possible way to transfer or sell a ticket already bought for you to someone else.
Youth Pass 21 tickets cannot be sold.

We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of receipt. Returns received outside the above period will not be accepted.
We will only accept returns on non-faulty items that are in their original condition, have not been worn, altered or washed, with all tags attached and in its original packaging. Upon receipt of any order without tags, please notify us immediately if you wish to return the item. We strongly advise all customers to check garments thoroughly upon delivery before removing any attached tags and before disposing of any original packaging.
Please note that we can only exchange an item for the same item in a different size. Exchanged items can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received and undergone a quality control check. Please note that the customer is allowed to exchange an item for a different size only once. The customer is responsible for additional shipping costs.
The merchandise must be returned in one mailing. We reserve the right to refuse multiple returns at different times from one order.

When all requirements have been met, we will notify you and refund the cost of the product(s), minus the shipping fee. A period of anywhere between 10-14 days should be calculated for the receipt of your returned merchandise and the return/refund process. The refund period depends on the credit card used. Please note that the refund will only be issued to the credit card used for the order.

You can enter the Exchange platform from your account by clicking the Ticket Exchange section button. You will need a valid account on our site in order to be able to access it.
First of all you will need to list the tickets you want to sell on the Marketplace, by clicking on the “List to Marketplace” button. Then, the buyers will be able to see your tickets available and write to you, if they are interested. After you establish with the buyer the price and the payment method you would like, and ONLY after they make the payment, you will have to click on the “Generate exchange link” button. Afterwards, you will have to send to the buyer the link that you received. In this way, when the buyer will access this link, he will have to introduce his name and address on the ticket and pay the processing fee for changing the details on the ticket. After that the ticket will still be in your account, so you will have to press the “Send to buyer” button, in order to transfer the ticket into his account.
The buyer will change the details on the ticket and pay the fee, after you will give him the exchange link, by clicking on the “Generate exchange link” button.
It depends on you and the buyer, as the payment will be made only between you and not through the platform. We do not interfere in any way with the payment process and the money will not be transferred through the platform. So, you will be the one who will establish the terms of the payment and the price of the ticket. Just make sure you will not give the exchange link to the buyer, before the payment is done, but only after that.

No, the invitations are automatically generated for one person. You won’t be able to change the invitation details using the exchange platform, as well as you won’t be able to resell it to somebody else.
The Exchange platform will be available all the time, during the festival and until the end of the festival.
First of all you will have to be logged into your account, on our site. Then you can access the platform from the Ticket exchange section. If you want to buy tickets, you have to click on the “I want to buy” button. In this way you will enter the Marketplace and you will be able to see the tickets other people sell. If you are interested in one or another ticket, you can write to the owner and ask him details about the price and about the payment method. Then, it’s up to each seller who they choose to sell the ticket to.

You have the right to film and photograph in the festival areas. However, you must use the material only for your personal viewing. Any distribution of the materials to the public, whether it be for free or for monetary compensation is prohibited. Also, during some concerts taking photos and filming is prohibited (even in the general access areas) and we will notify all participants through our mobile app and by posting on our Facebook Event.

Yes, you can if you are over 18.
Inside the campsite and in the rest of the event area the use of fire by all means (spatial heating fires, the atmosphere or any other open fire) and flammable materials are strictly forbidden.
Swimming in the lake located on the festival grounds is prohibited and extremely dangerous.
Yes, you can, in the zones that are part of general access. Accessing any other zone is prohibited and dangerous.
Across the festival grounds, we provide security through a qualified partner accredited accordingly. During the event, you need to co-operate, within the framework of legal regulations, with these partners, and to follow their instructions in case of emergency.
In the case of a violent incident or the endangerment of the bodily integrity of others, security staff may decide to evacuate the people involved in the incident from the event’s premises.
We are very proud of our Food Court. We have it all: raw/vegan, Indian, Mexican, Italian, Romanian, sweets, ice cream, fine dining, burgers and many other choices. About the drinks, you can choose between beer, water, juice, long drinks, shots or wine.
Yes, you can. Being an open outdoor space, smoking is allowed on the festival grounds. The only exceptions are the indoor spaces of the festival where smoking is strictly forbidden.
Entry is granted only through specially designated areas. Before entry you need to follow three easy steps:

Creating an account and registering your ticket is not mandatory, as we are always very careful to keep you incognito. However, by signing up and linking your wristband, you gain access to cool online features such as being able to top-up in advance and add credit into your account to avoid lines at the event or track your on-site purchases.
Electric Castle is not responsible for lost or stolen wristbands. However, if you’ve created an account and linked your wristband in advance, we will be able to cancel and reissue a new wristband at no cost to you. Therefore, we recommend you play it safe and register!
At the festival entrance, we will scan the unique code found on your ticket and IF the code is valid, we will redeem it for a wristband. With that wristband you will be able to enter the festival and use it as a payment method on the festival grounds.
There will also be swapping points available before the festival.
Entering the festival with the following objects is prohibited: drugs, pyrotechnics devices, glass, striking or cutting tools, umbrellas, explosives, toxic and flammable materials or any other objects that can cause harm to others. You can’t bring any alcoholic drinks or other liquids on the Festival grounds, except a bottle of water/person. You can bring food only within the camping area.
All physically challenged persons have free entrance to the festival. The whole area of the festival is wheelchair user accessible. Separate toilets for the physically challenged are available at the festival. At each stage, users of wheelchairs are allowed to enter the area between the stage and barriers. It is prohibited to enter Bontida by car without a valid car pass. A car has access only to the designated parking areas. We advise you to use public transport to get to the festival grounds.
We love pets, but unfortunately, you can’t bring pets on the festival grounds. The noise levels are too high for them.
You can enter the festival premises as many times as you want, as long as you have the wristband.
We have a dedicated Info Point on the festival grounds where our friendly volunteers can help you with any information you need. The Info Point can be found on our map.
The brochure is available free of charge to every visitor. It contains basic information about the program and performers, site maps, and essential practical information. The brochures can be found at our Info Point. For more details, you need to download our mobile app.

Our cashless payment system operates in a similar manner to pre-paid cards. At ELECTRIC CASTLE, we will be using high tech, RFID-enabled wristbands that include an embedded electronic chip in the RFID tag that will act as your key to pay for food, drinks, and merchandise at the event.
You will first need to create your cashless account, link your TICKET information, and load pre-paid credits into your account.
Before you arrive at the festival, to save yourself time, please register your TICKET and create your personalized cashless account. Once you’re logged in, you will need to link your TICKET information in order to top-up and add pre-paid credit into your account. Any leftover credit will be refunded to you in accordance to our refund policy. By pre-loading credit into your account online in advance, you can immediately visit the concession and merch stands when you arrive at the festival without having to look for a Top-up Station. You can always load more credit through our festival mobile app or at physical Top-up Stations located throughout the event grounds.
Your personalized festival wristband will be used as your digital wallet to make purchases at the festival – all with a simple tap of your wristband! This means you don’t have to worry about walking around the festival with your wallet or fumbling for change; instead, enjoy fast, convenient and secure transactions at all food vendors, bars, and vendors on-site using your high-tech, RFID-enabled wristband.
Cashless is the only method of payment accepted on-site using LEI as the official currency of Electric Castle. You can pay with your festival wristband or by bank card (at some food vendors and bars).
Register your ticket online and ‘top-up’ by loading money into your cashless account before you arrive – this will save you loads of time at the event, so you can go straight to partying. You can also add more funds to your account at a physical Top-up Station located throughout the event or online through Electric Castle’s app or website. Once your account is topped-up, you’re ready to make purchases on-site by simply tapping your wristband to one of the payment points at the vendor stands. The amount will automatically be deducted from your account – it’s quick and easy!

When you arrive at the event, go to a Ticket Swap location and present your PDF ticket along with a valid photo I.D. A staff member will scan your ticket number barcode and issue you an RFID wristband. From there, enter the festival and visit a physical Top-up Station located throughout the event grounds to add funds into your account. If you wish to top-up online you need to create an account, register your wristband and then manage your balance online.
You can top-up at one of the on-site Top-Up Stations located throughout the event grounds. However, vendor stands will not be able to top-up for you, so make sure you have enough credit on your account before making purchases. Trained staff will be on-hand to help you through the process.

No, unfortunately you cannot transfer credits once they are in your personalized account. However, any leftover credit will be refunded to you in accordance with our refund policy.
No, unfortunately you cannot split payment for an item. Only one wristband can be used to open the transaction, and that same wristband must be used to close and confirm the purchase. This is a security feature to ensure the purchasers are in control of their own spending.
If you’ve created an account online and linked your wristband to it, no worries! Visit Customer Service at the event and they will deactivate your lost wristband and issue you a new one. Please bring valid photo ID. Link the new wristband number to your account and continue having a great time – your money is still on your account if you’ve previously linked it.
However, if you did NOT create an online account and did not link your wristband to the account, unfortunately your remaining credit balance can no longer be retrieved. To get a replacement wristband, visit a Customer Service kiosk and show proof of your original event ticket purchase along with valid photo ID. If someone else bought the tickets on your behalf, you will need to bring the original purchaser with you to the kiosk and show proof of purchase along with valid photo ID. Replacement wristbands will be issued at the discretion of the Customer Service Representative.
To avoid this issue, we strongly recommend you create an account and link your wristbands to that account prior to the festival. Treat your wristband the same way you would treat cash! We are not responsible for any funds stolen / missing from your wristband if you lose it.
Unused funds from the RFID Wristband can be exchanged for cash through the process called RFID Wristband Money Refund. The process is of two different kinds:
A. Refunding the amount of money at the Top-up Points from the festival ground - the refunded amount equals the total amount left in the RFID Wristband account, so even if online topping up transactions are made, the withdrawn amounts will be for all transactions. During the whole festival period, those who topped up the RFID Wristband, will be able to retrieve the money amount until Monday, at 08:00 AM.
B. Those who did not receive a cash refund at one of the Top-Up points will be able to recover the remaining amounts on the RFID bracelet by filling the refund form that will be announced after the festival dates.
Each participant is asked to fill in the information correctly and double-check the data on the form. The Organizer cannot be held responsible if the information (e.g. account data) is not valid. The money will be returned via online bank transfer in maximum 60 days and this process may be subject to bank charges independent from Electric Castle.
Any unredeemed amounts, after the deadline for filling the form has passed, will become the property of the Organizer.
EC Village is our camping concept and represents a world of its own, at 5-7 min walking distance from the festival’s entrance. You will find many great amenities in order to make your stay much comfier: premium flush toilets and showers, beauty area, market, grill zone, breakfast and coffee lounge, yoga and massage spots, music stage, campfires, customer service point.

The EC Parking space is near the Festival Main Entrance (5-7 minutes by foot). Parking space does not require a Car Camping ticket. More details about the EC Parking space will be announced within a few weeks before the festival date.

Yes, you can, we have a bike parking lot near the festival entrance.
Yes, all the trains that pass Bontida will stop there, during the festival.
We recommend you to fly to Cluj-Napoca Airport (airportcluj.ro) (30 km from the festival site). From the airport, you can take either a BOLT that will get you to the festival, or you can go to Iulius Mall and take one of the EC buses.
