Creative Camp is a music collaboration initiative, produced by the Electric Castle team, since August 2020.

Directed to the Romanian music artists whose activities were frozen because of the pandemic, Creative Camp was conceived as a physical and mental space, which enables and inspires collaboration among artists.

The artistic experience of the first edition of Creative Camp was intimately documented and turned into a film called “When time stood still”.

Creative juices flow hard in the camp thanks to jam sessions and workshops designed to push the boundaries of imagination. Inspiration is everywhere, especially in the sea sounds and epic sunsets.

THE CREATIVE OUTCOME

This creative adventure gave birth to some incredible songs and the whole process was captured in a movie.

“When time stood still” documentary is revealing how experimental musical work and also the complicated condition of artists during the pandemic.

But the most precious thing about this project was having the chance to observe the meeting and connection between artists from different areas. Many of them never had the chance to play music together. This was the perfect context for collaboration and exploration of new musical territories.

2021

creative camp

After a very well-received 2020 edition of the Creative Camp, we've joined forces with our friends at glo to support creative industries. glo Creative Camp offers young artists an opportunity to evolve by mixing fun & purpose to bring something back to the community, under the motto Rebels with a cause.

HOW

The second edition of the camp challenged 3 artists to join forces with young talents and remix the classics. There were three modules, each one about a different style of music.

2022

creative camp

We took the glo Creative Camp one step forward. For the third edition of this project, we decided to extend the bond between the festival and the camp by challenging the artists to create a show for EC9. Get to connect with the artists and witness how their bonding takes the shape of music.

WHAT HAPPENED?

2 weeks. 2 mentors. 1 purpose: create a show for EC 2023.

The third edition of the camp was the perfect setting for young artists to collaborate for two weeks and create a show for the ninth edition of Electric Castle. Two teams, coordinated by two mentors, along with two guests from Japan and one from Romania worked together in the camp, and later in a studio, to prepare their performances. Their whole journey can be discovered on our channels.
